S.M.A.R.T Agriculture (Urban Farming)
The Urban Farming Project is designed to transform unused and underutilized spaces in Brooklyn and Liberia into thriving community farms that provide fresh, healthy, and affordable food. Many families in these communities face food insecurity and limited access to nutritious produce, contributing to preventable health issues. This project addresses those challenges by creating urban farms that not only grow food but also serve as hubs for education, sustainability, and community empowerment.
Through hands-on training, residents—especially youth—learn about sustainable farming, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. The project also creates opportunities for local entrepreneurship by supporting small-scale farmers and connecting them with local markets. Beyond food production, the farms act as gathering spaces where communities come together to grow, learn, and support one another.
Funding the Urban Farming Project ensures healthier families, stronger local economies, and greener communities that can sustain themselves for generations to come.
