About ITAVAC
Founded in Brooklyn, New York, It Takes a Village Africa Corporation (ITAVAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education, technology, workforce development, and wellness initiatives.
What began as grassroots community support connecting the African diaspora to families in West Africa has evolved into a growing movement focused on creating access and opportunity where it is needed most.
Today, ITAVAC works to strengthen communities by providing programs that support workforce readiness, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and essential resources for individuals and families rebuilding their lives.
Through initiatives in New York and across the African diaspora, we focus on equipping people with the tools, knowledge, and support systems needed to create long-term stability and generational progress.
