Financial Literacy

The Financial Literacy Program empowers individuals and families in Brooklyn and Liberia with the knowledge and tools to build strong financial foundations. Many community members face systemic barriers to financial stability, including limited access to banking, credit, and financial education. This program addresses those challenges by offering workshops and one-on-one coaching in budgeting, saving, debt management, credit building, and responsible investing.

By teaching practical money management skills, the program helps participants avoid financial pitfalls, plan for the future, and pursue opportunities for economic advancement. It also fosters intergenerational impact by encouraging parents to pass on healthy financial habits to their children. With a focus on cultural relevance and real-world application, this program is designed to break cycles of poverty and promote long-term stability.

Funding the Financial Literacy Program means creating pathways toward independence, resilience, and wealth-building in communities that have long been excluded from financial opportunity.
