Community Gardens & Food Security Program

The Community Garden & Food Security Program addresses one of the most pressing issues facing under-served communities in Liberia: access to healthy, affordable food. Too many families struggle with food insecurity, relying on limited or unhealthy options that contribute to long-term health challenges. At the same time, valuable knowledge about sustainable farming and nutrition is at risk of being lost.

Our program creates community-driven gardens where residents can grow fresh produce, learn about nutrition, and share resources. It helps families build resilience by providing tools, training, and seeds for sustainable agriculture—empowering communities to reduce hunger and become more self-reliant.

Beyond growing food, the program fosters education and empowerment. Through workshops, cooking demonstrations, and agricultural training, participants gain the skills to improve their families’ diets and pass on knowledge to future generations.

Funding this program will support garden development, farming equipment, seeds, and educational workshops. Together, we can fight hunger, improve health, and cultivate stronger, more resilient communities.
