Adult Literacy Program
The Adult Literacy Program is built on a simple but powerful belief: it’s never too late to learn. In both Brooklyn and Liberia, many adults have faced barriers that prevented them from completing their education or accessing the tools they need to thrive in today’s world. Limited literacy skills can make it difficult to secure jobs, manage finances, support children’s education, or fully participate in community life.
Our program provides adults with accessible, judgment-free learning opportunities that focus on reading, writing, and practical skills for everyday life. Through small group classes, one-on-one tutoring, and digital literacy workshops, participants build the confidence and ability to navigate everything from job applications and healthcare forms to technology and community resources.
Funding this program directly supports learning materials, trained instructors, and safe spaces where adults can focus on their education. By empowering adults to read, write, and grow, we are not only transforming individual lives—we are strengthening families and uplifting entire communities.
